The Temple Scroll and the Biblical Text Traditions. A Study of Columns 2–13:9
Finnish Exegetical Society
Publications of the Finnish Exegetical Society 81
Vammala 2001, 213 pp.
There is no doubt about the close relationship between the Temple Scroll and the Biblical textual traditions. This relationship becomes evident, for example, in the extensive quotations from Deuteronomy at the end of the Scroll. However, not much research has been done on beginning of the Temple Scroll. The main reason for this is the poor condition of the first 12 columns of the manuscript 11QT19. This book wishes to contribute to the understanding of the beginning of the Scroll and to provide tools for further textual studies.
