Good Governance in International Law

This study examines the concept of good governance as it has materialised in the policies of administrative institutions and development agencies. Good governance appears as a vehicle for legitimising myriad political stances, which fight – more or less rigorously – over the concept's meaning. The study demonstrates in concrete terms how differently good governance is understood by administrative experts and how these deviations are utilised to promote a particular argument on governance.
