American Foreign Policy and the Finnish Exception

This book focuses on the roots of postwar American-Finnish relations. This relationship sheds light on neglected aspect of American and Finnish history. Perhaps most intriguing is the link between Finland's symbolic association in the American mind with principles of economic and political liberalism and American efforts during the Second Wolrd War to encourage Finnish acceptance of postwar accomodation with Soviet Union.
